What’s your current position? I am currently a Regional Vice President with Commonwealth Charter Academy.  I have been with CCA for 16 years and in Education for 36 years. Most of my career was as a school administrator, and now I work with the community to share what we do and to learn more about what they do.

What would you say most motivates you to do the work you do? To do what is best for students and their families.  Discovering new opportunities for students and sharing them with our Career Readiness team.

Where did you grow up, and did you go to a college/trade school after high school?   I grew up in Greenfield Township (Northern Lackawanna County) and went to the Lakeland School District. I graduated from Colgate University and graduate programs from the University of Scranton. I enjoyed finding out who I am while attending these institutions.  Teaching and coaching brought me back to NEPA, where I met my wife and am raising our family here.

Did you have any key mentors or people who deeply influenced who you are? There were many teachers and coaches I met that have influenced me through the years, but none better than my mother and father, who taught me to be a good person and treat people right!

How did you learn about Leadership Lackawanna? A friend introduced me to the Executive program in 2019, and I have been involved and serving on the Leadership Lackawanna Board ever since.

Let’s get personal: tell us your favorite movie, favorite book, favorite TV show, favorite NEPA landmark, or favorite local restaurant! Movie: “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”; Books: most written by Tom Clancy and James Patterson; TV show: “Big Bang Theory”; NEPA Landmark: Radisson Lackawanna Station; Restaurant: Alexander’s Family Restaurant.
